Hello there late night blog readers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here with the slightly delayed day 3 of my 2023 Advent Calendar. Yes, this post and gift opening is even later than yesterday’s, but I actually will have time to get tomorrows gift ready ahead of time, and hopefully not have to abandoned my first two plans for gifts due to wanting to overcomplicate them. I mean, I did overcomplicate this gift, but not as much as I was going to overcomplicate the over gifts. So, what is today’s only slightly overcomplicated gift?
Why a set of planters.

Yes, not one planted, but two. Both are basically the same style, with the longer one basically just being a stretched version of the smaller one, but still that is more than I had to do.

However, there is more to the overcomplication than just that. Unlike previous years where I focused more on the direction of the wood grain and neglected the actually structure and joinery of the gifts, I am trying to put more of an emphasis on that this year. Just look at this gift, for example. The side panels are put in place by a notched portion in the upper and lower supports. In addition, one side has a bigger notch to help keep the floor in place.

Granted there is still a bit of weakness in the long one due to the floor sagging under the weight of the wood, but it is better than nothing. Anyway, it is late, and I want to finish tomorrows gift early, so that is all for today. Be sure to check back tomorrow to see what that gift will be.
