Hello there sign loving developers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here, and I’m pretty sure a few of you have figured out what is going to be inside day 25 of my 2024 Advent Calendar this year. I saw one person guess it on yesterday’s post. Or atleast part of it. Some of the most common mistakes in Roblox games used to be chair legs and crates, hence their prevalence in my advent calendars. But going through the Roblox events this year I noticed a new issue that a bunch of games have: Bad wood grain on signs. While some may blame this on the recommended sign in free models having bad wood grain there are also enough custom signs with bad wood grain that it is impossible to blame all the issues on that lone sign. So what is today’s gift?

Signs. Lots and lots of signs.

You have your basic sign.

Your basic sign with wooden planks, but instead of planks it uses my custom endless plank texture.

A sign in the shape of an arrow to point people in the correct direction.

A large sign that you can use as a doorway to enter a new area.

A large sign that resembles what most people use for a leaderboard.

A large billboard sign.

Another larger billboard sign.

With some diagonal supports in the back.

A hanging sign because I like playing with constraints.

A small countertop sign.

With some struts in the back to keep it vertical.

And finally this sign with a diagonal support that can hang over a path, or if you remove the support you can have it hang off a building.

Will this cover ever sign need any dev will ever have? No, but it should act like a good starting point. I am aware that the current Spotlight event is ongoing so it is a big ask for devs to fix their signs during the event during the holidays, but if the next Roblox event has games with signs in it that have bad wood grain I will not go easy on those games.

Especially Blade Ball. C’mon devs, this is like your third event and the same sign still has bad wood grain. Just fix it already.
