Hello there fellow train lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a look at a fairly recent hit game on Roblox, Dead Rails by RCM Games. For those of you who are unaware, Dead Rails is a co-op focused survival game where you drive a train to Mexico to escape a zombie outbreak. This game was a bit hard for me to review as I don’t have any friends due to the constant bullying and harassment I do to everyone around me, but thankfully I don’t need to get far in Dead Rails to find the bad wood grain. Do I need to just get to the starting area of the game? No. Do I just need to look at the main lobby where you join the game? No. Dead Rails did me the service of having bad wood grain on the Experience page which really makes my job easy.

Of course it does seem a bit unfair to end the review with just a screenshot of the games badges, so lets continue onto the next part of the game that has bad wood grain, the actual game itself. Mainly the lobby that is filled to the brim with nothing but assets made with wood.

So, where to start here. Well for starters the game has a sign that is asking for likes in order for updates. Hopefully one of these updates will be for better wood grain on the sign post as it has bad wood grain.

Next up is the Doctor building. This building has bad wood grain on the door frame and the window frames.

Along with some bad wood grain on the table legs inside.

Next up is the Trading Post which removed the bad wood grain on the door and window by virtue of the fact it doesn’t have a front door or a window. However, it does have some massive vertical beams on the side of the building which have bad wood grain.

Additionally the main roof beam also has bad wood grain, but the diagonal supports connecting the ridge beam to the support beams have proper wood grain.

Moving on, the news stand has bad wood grain on its counter. The grain here should stretch between the two vertical posts on the sign, not going from the front to back of the counter.

But if you were worried about this sign, don’t worry, it is also wrong with the wooden planks on the top of the sign going from the front to the back instead of following the planks on the front of the sign going from one side to the other.

Moving onto the Sherriff’s building here we see the same basic building as the Doctor building with bad wood grain on the window and the door frame, so not anything new to see here really.

As for something new, the church building has some bad wood grain on the side of the congregation benches. The sides here should have vertical wood grain, not horizontal grain.

Oh also the windows have more bad wood grain but that isn’t really unique.

Speaking of stuff that is not unique, the Bank has the same basic structure as the Doctor and Sherriff buildings with the same bad wood grain on the doors and windows.

The general store also has the same issues but has this unique porch whose vertical and diagonal supports are bad in addition to everything else.

And then finally the Gunsmith also has the normal bad wood grain as most of the other buildings.

So that concludes my look at the lobby of Dead Rails. After playing so many games that require hours of grinding it does seem a bit refreshing to see a game that has all of its bad wood grain front and center.
“But WoodReviewer, what about the actual game?”
Worry not concerned citizen, I also played the game and there is plenty more bad wood grain there, but I have some special plans for the next part of my review. For now take this chair as one last parting gift while you wait for Part 2 to come out.

I’ve just found this blog and I love it. question: Have you ever played REGRETEVATOR? (there’s a certain mannequin npc you should meet)

Okay, I was just browsing the WordPress reader for Roblox blogs so I could find some to like and engage with, and AYYYE!!! How glad am I to see another Roblox reviewer on here??!!! Even if you’re reviewing wood grain — wood grain is an IMPORTANT aspect of Roblox and Roblox games, it heavily defines and sets up what the game’s gonna be like, come on now. LOL. Dead Rails is a game that I’ve played and not cared much for, honestly. I got on the train, we got far, and then one dude fell off of the train, me and a couple others got to some town and all died to zombies because our axes (or hammers, I don’t remember??!) broke, and then I waited for the dude who fell off to come back in an epic display of patience for like, 5 minutes, and then he died in-game to the zombies in 2 seconds. I respect the vision and actually love zombies, but I just don’t really know what to do in it. I think we have to loot shops or something? It is true though that it’s fun to get in a game and not have to grind for hours and hours for something ridiculous. Waiting for Part 2. Kudos!
