Shooters-Murderers vs Sheriffs Duels

Hello there third person shooter lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a look at a game that I feel somehow flies under everyone’s radar despite the fact it constantly has a player count into 5 digits and has been features in two Roblox events, Murderers vs Sheriffs Duels by Red21 Games. For those of you who have never played Murderers vs Sheriffs Duels, it is a PvP third person shooter game where you basically get the knife that murders use in murder games and the gun uses by sheriffs in the same murder games. So, why is it called Murderers vs Sheriffs if both sides are exactly the same? I can’t answer that question. But do you know what question I can answer?

Hint: It has to do with wood grain.

Hint two: The answer is no.

If you didn’t figure out the question it is “Does this game have proper wood grain.” And why is the answer no? Well, let’s start off at the farm map. The first issue I noticed was this random wall that was in the middle of the map. The sides of the wall have some large vertical wooden columns, yet the wood grain on these columns is horizontal.

Another example of bad wood grain in the Farm map is this little building that is probably a shed. But I am going to refer to it as an outhouse because it looks more like an outhouse than a shed. Anyway this outhouse has several issues. The first and most obvious to me is that these wooden planks that go across the width of the roof are incorrect. As they appear to be about one stud wide they are the perfect size for the for the planks to actually follow the length of the board than to go perpendicular to it.

Additionally, although it may be hard to see the outer frame for the outhouse should have vertical wood grain but it is instead horizontal. One day I will get better about taking closer up pictures of issues like that, but today is not that day.

Next up is the Aerial Map. As the maps in Murderers vs Sheriffs Duels are pretty small there isn’t exactly much to review on every map, so all I have here is this wooden pallet. The main issue with the pallet is that the stringers have bad wood grain.

Moving on from Aerial the next map that I took a look at was Central. The first issue was with this large elevated platform that has bad wood grain on the legs for the platform.

The next issue that I saw was on this wooden crate. The issue with it is that all of the diagonal and vertical supports on the crate are wrong. The diagonals should be diagonal and verticals should be verticals.

Want to see what this would look like if it was correct? Well, just take a look at the crates on the Farm map. Yes, it only has one diagonal cross brace compared to the two on Central, but you should get the point.

Or if you want some examples of different crates with proper wood grain just look at the pile of crates in the main lobby. They are are correct, which makes the bad crate on central all the more confusing.

With three maps and the lobby done and two other maps not even being mentioned for having no wood, the last maps that I need to look at is Lodge, and it can’t be that bad, right?

I mean, the only bad wood grain here is on the door frame, desk legs, and the chair back.

And here is is just on the legs for the dresser and door frame again.

And some bad wood grain on this window frame.

And on this random wooden pillar, the rails for the railings, the bannisters for the railings, and the legs for this little end table.

And the legs for this outdoor chair.

And the doors and frames on this dressers and door frame again.

And on the cross members and outer frame for this window frame.

And on this different picture frame and the legs for the night stand.

But aside for those 15 or so different issues on a map that is barely 100 studs by 100 studs, there are only a few things wrong with this map.

And honestly that speaks for most of the game. There are a few maps, and each just has a few issues, besides for the mess that is lodge. But even then, assuming that the issues aren’t unions or meshes all the bad wood grain in the entire game could probably be fixed in under an hour with part flip, so why not just put in the effort and do it>
