A returning game from a previous event where it had bad wood grain on some signs, MotoRush returns to The Hatch with more bad wood grain on signs. You would think this would be a fairly easy issue to fix but I guess not.

Color.io by Vivat and Ykk

The first of this pseudo snake games that apears in The Hatch, it also sets a trend for these games with the fact it is entirely smooth plastic, making it pass my test.

Case Battle by case battle community

This game was entirely made out of UI elements. You would have to try and add bad wood grain here.

Strawberry Tower by Fruit Tower

A game revolving around climbing up a tower, Strawberry Tower is entirely smooth plastic. I’m not sure if you’ve gotten tired of me saying that games pass because they are all smooth plastic, but get used to it because that is how most games pass.

Tower Defense X by Tower Defense X

As I am writing some of these reviews out of order compared to how I played these games I have no idea if this is the first tower defense game I’ve reviewed so far or not. But it won’t be the last, and likely won’t be the last to have bad wood grain on a crate.

Every Second You Get +1 Walk Speed by lol games..

Don’t worry, you aren’t going crazy. You will see this same map again reskinned as some other way to gain walk speed over time to complete obstacles. The exact way you gain speed varies, as does the exact way the games have bad wood grain. In this case it is because this teleport portal has bad wood grain on the sides of the portal.

So at this point I am really getting tired of seeing bad wood grain on chair legs. Especially on really basic chairs that look like they are from 2014. Please, just fix your chair legs.

Another Squid Games game, another game that manages to have bad wood grain. This time it is on this tree behind the famous robot that does the thing. Again, never watched Squid Game so no clue what is going on.

War Simulator by Calculated Studio

A fairly decent game actually, War Simulator has bad wood grain on the tent pole in the spawn camp. While I know several tents in free models have this issue, this tent looks unique so it shares its bad wood grain out of laziness to fix wood grain, not laziness of using a free model.

Super Villain Tycoon by Super Heroes™

I always get a laugh when games that push the limits of trademarks add a trademark symbol to their name, but I am not IP reviewer. I am wood review, and this tree fails the test as the trunk has bark that wraps around the trunk while the branch has bark that goes along with the length of the branch.

Verdict: Fail

Pop It Trading by club XOX

I was unaware that there was demand for one Pop It trading game on Roblox, much less two, but here were are I guess. On the plus side, this one is all smooth plastic and as a result it lacks any bad wood grain.

Clone Tycoon 2 by UltraW

As someone who shamelessly used Conor3D to help with tricky games, I do have to admit it was unique to look up help for Clone Tycoon 2 and see that UltraW posted a video himself. I mean, that is one way to make extra money. If only he spent 5 seconds on fixing the wood grain on this fence while he was making the guide.

Dragon Soul by Dragon Soul DS

Another anime game, another game that dedicated way too much time to fancy fighting graphics while ignoring spending a single second to fix wood grain on a sign post. If it hasn’t been clear yet, bad grain on wooden signs will be a trend again.

Legends Arena by Play Legends Arena

Speaking of wooden signs, guess what we have here? It is some more wooden sign posts with bad wood grain. Also the wooden decorations in the background are doing some interesting things as well.

Shoot and Eat Noobs by SG Studios

A game that has a unique premise, it falls apart by having this piano from free models. How do I know it is from free models? Because I saw it in at least four or five different games throughout this event, each time with bad wood grain on the vertical supports.

Disaster Island Survival by Limitless Games

A game that tries to improve of StickMasterLuke’s classic formula, it also features the bad wood grain from the original. Only more of it. So that is the exact opposite of an improvement, so bad job I guess.

Taxi Boss by Taxi Boss Group

Ok, so this is a bit unfair because I was working on a review for Taxi Boss before I kind of just never finished it so I knew where the bad wood grain was. However this arch is a bit questionable, but the wood grain on the office area is also questionable, so just accept this as bad as punishment for all the other stuff being off as well.

Threadville by Super Skeleton Studios

A game that looks unlike any other game in The Hunt, I didn’t expect to see any bad wood grain here. However for some reason right above spawn was some standard improper wood grain on vertical posts for some reason.

Retail Tycoon 2 by Secondhand Studios

Yes, if you couldn’t tell by the 30 or some money trees I have I was working on a review for Retail Tycoon 2 and never published it and if I was doing this event and playing the game for the first time I would have missed it. Unfortunately I have no mercy today so it will fail the game.

Wizard West by REDD’s Wastelands

One of several games by REDD’s Wastelands, this game is a cross between the various western games and magic games we have on Roblox. Unfortunately it has the random wooden boards scattering around the map from western games, which is something the genre should stop doing.

Speed Draw! by Studio Giraffe

So I forget why a game about drawing has random buildings with random shelves that has bad wood grain on the diagonal supports, but here we are.

Big Brain Simulator by Fluid Games

Having a game be entirely smooth plastic to avoid having to deal with bad wood grain is a big brain move.

Build a Boat for Treasure by Chillz Studios

I love free crates of stuff as much as the next person, but what I hate is when the crates have bad vertical supports. On the plus side this isn’t a user made thing so at least I don’t have to feel bad about failing a game because of something a user made.

Arm Wrestle Simulator by Kubo Games

Bucking the trend of most games that are simulators being entirely smooth plastic, Arm Wrestle Simulator has what is supposed to be wooden planks. Well, I don’t know what else they are supposed to be. Anyway, they should go across these stairs, not from front to back.

Verdict: Fail

Wall Hop Practice by minderkat

The game is all smooth plastic. It has no wood grain. How do I describe this in new way.

Ragdoll Waterpark by REDD’s Wastelands

I’m not sure why REDD’s Wastelands seems to make combat games with one game focuse don throwing yourself down a waterslide, but I don’t judge that. What I do judge is the bad wood grain on the legs of this picnic bench.

Penthouse Tycoon by Loaded Studios

It has been a few days since I played this game and after playing 400 or so games they start to blend together a bit so I forget if this was put in specifically for the event or a permanent sign, but either way it has bad wood grain on its posts. Again.

Natural Disaster Survival by StickMasterLuke

The game that we all know and love, I have had trouble finding solid examples of bad wood grain on maps before. Luckily for me this time on my first map I found an example of bad wood grain that I had never seen before with these window frames having a bunch of bad wood grain. Sorry Luke.

From one classic to another, Epic Minigames recently received a new facelift in the lobby. This facelift included some new bad wood grain on these wooden spaces right under the roof.

Another game that I was looking on a review for and as a result have access to end-game stuff, Investor City is better than the others because of the fact it commits to the bit of being entirely smooth plastic.

Deadfront by zombie shenanigan

A modern take, at least in terms of modern for Roblox, of a zombie survival game, Deadfront looks much better than most of the other zombie games on Roblox. However, it falls into the common trap of having bad wood grain on the vertical parts of a table.

British Railway by Fourth Rail

By no means the only train-based game in The Hatch, British Railway is atleast the most realistic train-based game. Well, besides for the wood grain, as the bottom segment of this bench has bad wood grain.

Build or Die by LavaST

Build or Die is rare for Roblox games in that it has correct wood grain while actually having wood grain. Is it cheating by obscuring the edges of the wooden planks with neon? Maybe. But as long as I can’t see it it passes.

Dungeon RNG by Clicker House

Dungeon RNG only has one example of wood grain that I saw, on this popsicle stick. And guess what, it has bad wood grain. This is a new one for me as usually these are either in games that are entirely smooth plastic or so small you can’t make out the wood grain, but hey, a fail is a fail.

Volleyball 4.2 by untitled blog works

I am fairly certain Volleyball was in a previous event but I am running low on time so I’m not going to look it up. Anyway, if I remember right in that event it had bad wood grain on a sign post, and in this event the sign post was correct. Someone please teach this to the Bladeball team.

What is Italian brainrot? What is Tralelero Tralalala? Why is autocorrect fighting me so much? Why is there a hamster hugging a sign? Why does the sign have bad wood grain?

What is a PETAPETA? Why does the group name spell it differently than the game name? Did something happen in the last 2 months that I missed? Why is this a horror game? Why do the shelves here have bad wood grain?

You know, I could go on a long rant breaking down what exactly is going on here and if it is good or bad, but after the last two games I am happy there is a normal game here so I will give it a pass since nothing looks super offensive for the wood grain.

Raise a Rainbocorn by Rainbocorns

I don’t know what a Rainbocorn is, but using logic and context clues I can guess it is some type of rainbow unicorn thing combined with cats. Anyway the entire game is smooth plastic so it is fine.

Zombie Survival Garry’s Mod by Frayz_XD

While seeing Garry’s Mod game modes ported to Roblox isn’t a new thing, this is the first time I’ve seen the maps and assets ported to Roblox outside of CloneTrooper’s tests to prove it can be done. Anyway, the grain on the side of these railings is incorrect, and I have no idea if this was from a bad port or if they were like this in Garry’s Mod also.

Bou’s Revenge by Calypso Entertainment

I don’t know who Bou is, nor do I know why he wants revenge. However, if this is Bou’s house than I would want revenge for how bad this wood grain is. The door frame and wood for all the window frames is incorrect.

Squid Game Egg Toss by Throw and Catch

As I mentioned before, I have never watched Squid Game so I have no idea if the egg toss was a challenge in the game. But this game contains no wood grain at all so that is good I guess.

Meet People Across The World by Nogo

Honestly one of the most unique games I saw in The Hatch, I find it to be a really novel concept to try and talk to people from around the world. What I find to be a less novel concept is the fact the game has bad wood grain on the podium that holds up these buttons that you can use to play games.

Redcliff City RP by Redcliff City RP

Another City RP game, I really don’t have anything unique to add that hasn’t been mentioned already. The issue here is with this counter. The front face is correct, the problem is that the top face should go the same direction.

Miraculous™ RP: Ladybug and Cat Noir by Toya

A branded game for an IP that I have never heard of, this is a fairly modern game with what is all custom made meshes for ever asset that honestly looks nice. So when I saw a chair with bad wood grain that looked like it was straight out of 2009 I was really confused.

Verdict: Fail

SNK: Rumbling by sup3rgam3s123

Another anime game, again the creators focus way to much on cool effects and not enough on proper wood grain. This time it is on this door frame, which uniquely manages to have bad wood grain on every single part of the frame.

Fish It! by Fish Atelier

The first of the fishing games in The Hach, the fishing genre gets off to a bad start here as these fence posts have improper wood grain. Plus the little stall in the background has more bad wood grain, but that it a nice bonus and not the main event.

Mosquitoes vs Humans by Apparently Minigames

This is apparently a game, and it has bad wood grain on the trim of this lower wall segment. It is just wrong in every aspect: The horizontal parts have vertical wood grain, and the vertical segments have horizontal wood grain.

Ninja Battlegrounds by LDS Fighting

Another anime fighting game, another anime fighting game with bad wood grain on a sign post. This isn’t the only issue here as you can see the crates in the background also have issues, but that just adds to the fact that anime games should put more care into their wood grain.

Realistic Street Soccer by The Builder’s Legion

Jumping on the trend of games that add signs specifically for events and as a result add the only example of bad wood grain I can find, I really hope Roblox starts giving out some example signs for devs to use. This is honestly a bit embrassing.
