The first biome that caused me pain while playing it due to the odd path finding you need to take to walk from the portal from spawn, this is another one of the more hefty biomes in terms of play count.

A returning friend from both previous reviews and previous events that has the most questionable name of any game maker in the event, Play or Die is probably a game. I’m not sure, I didn’t have to exit the lobby to get the egg. I also didn’t have to leave the lobby to find bad wood grain on these table legs.

Warfare Tycoon by Stealth Developers1

One of the new generation of tycoon where you just build your base in order to fight other people, I do admit I had to play a bit more than what I needed to get the egg in order to get a close up of the bad wood grain on these canopies. But In my defense I saw these buildings when I spawned, I just needed a closer look.

Jump Over The Walls Obby by VIN3_Dev

I’m pretty sure VIN3_Dev is a retuning dev from something but I am like six hours into writing this review today so my brain is a bit mushy. Anyway one thing I do know that is retuning from previous events is these benches from free models that have bad wood grain. Please, Roblox, stop recommending models with bad wood grain.

Pull a Sword by xFrozen Obbys

A name that I know is returning from previous events, xFrozen_Obbys is really good as using all smooth plastic in their games. And guess what: they have all smooth plastic again. Good job on being consistently nothing. Although I will say the attempt at end grain on this log is a nice improvement.

Hide or Die by 0 CCU Games

Another game featuring a thumbnail with the weird stick man that I don’t recognize, Hide or Die does have one thing that I recognize: These crates that have bad wood grain.

Mystic Battleground by Behind The Blood

Another anime fighting game, Mystic Battleground is better than the other because the developers decided to not use any wood grain on any odd objects. Or at least they didn’t use any in the lobby and are doing a good job at hiding them from me.

Somewhere between an anime fighting game and a regular infinite simulator game, Duel Warriors makes the classic mistake of starting you with a wooden sword when you join the game. I mean, the wooden sword isn’t the mistake, the bad wood grain on the sword is.

The hit game from 6 months ago that is still pretty popular, Dead Rails returns for another event. Only the devs still have not updated any of their buildings in the spawn lobby so they all still have bad wood grain on their framing and vertical supports.

I don’t think it has been a major issue yet, but as we continue on with the games in this event you will quickly start noticing a trend with the rails on ladders, the tall vertical pieces, all having improper wood grain on them. I’m not sure if this was the first game to have it, but it was one of the first ones where it became noticable.

Hybrid Cafe by ArenaDev

A game where you play as a barista and occasionally have to beat customers with a baseball bat. 10/10 game idea. 0/10 wood grain because of the bad grain on the vertical support on this stage. Plus the wooden planks have bad end grain.

Ah yes, another game that for some reason has no bad wood grain in the spawn area but ruins itself by having a random sign for no real reason that has bad wood grain on the vertical post.

Another game in the genre of tower obby games that are well built but still it seems surprising to have so many in The Hatch, Pink Stage Tower is all pink. And smooth plastic. So it has no wood grain.

Jule’s RNG by Jule Games

Jule’s RNG does something that most of the anime fighting games could learn from: Having decent graphical effects while still not having any bad wood grain. I mean, the game is mostly smooth plastic, but at least it has a nice vibe.

Together by Maxx Fun

One of the most unique games in The Hatch gameplay wise, Together also looks like almost no other game in the event. I mean besides for this wooden pallet. It looks like a bunch of the other wooden pallets with bad wood grain in the event. Because it has bad wood grain.

BATHE DA BABY by baftime

One of those games that had me genuinely lost in the gameplay, name, and the fact one of the Squid Game guys was in the thumbnail, the only thing in the game that comforted me was this crate with bad wood grain. And by comforted I mean made my violently angry and the fact it exists.

Realistic Hand RP by Blox Universe

I always laugh at any game that claims to be realistic but then has bad wood grain. I mean, this isn’t realistic in any way, shape, or form. Also I get the realistic thing is supposed to refer to hands but I don’t care, this makes a funnier joke.

I do know Shrek and The Backrooms so I am not as lost as I am with games that feature Italian Brainrot, but unfortunately I also know bad wood grain as well. In this case the most noticeable example is on the the cross members on this crate.

See other anime fighting games, it is possible for you to not use bad wood grain. Granted this is all smooth plastic, but hey, no bad wood grain.

096 by Albies Arcade

So just a little behind the scenes thing here, I have a Google Sheets spreadsheet that I am using to keep track of all the games in this event, the URLS, if they have bad wood grain, and other stuff to make this review writing more manageable. Anyway, the fact that this game is called 096 singlehandedly screwed up my formatting, so I hate it for that. Also it has bad wood grain on the daily log in crate, so I doubly hate it. Also the crate is the UI, so that is even more hate because I specifically said earlier it is hard to have bad wood grain in a UI.

Blades & Buffoonery by Flying Gorilla

The best flying primate themed game in the event, Blades & Buffoonery has some bad tree bark on this tree. If you want more on how trees work please refer to the blog post I listed in the Mega Post for The Hatch. However is this feels a bit petty to you worry not because the game also had bad wood grain in the thumbnail, I just didn’t wait around to get to that specific bad wood grain.

Ultimate Soccer by Untitled Soccer Thing

Ultimate Soccer almost had a good review. I explored the lobby and found nothing. Then the shop updated. And guess what? One of the buyable things in the shop was this emote that has bad wood grain on a desk. I’m not sure why an emote has a desk, but I do now this fails the game.

EPIC SCHOOL ESCAPE by Robowon1

Another member in the weird obby genre whose creators have caps lock stuck on club, this one doesn’t have the bad wood grain on the chalkboard that managed to sink other games. It does, however, have bad wood grain on the students desks. Here the grain should go from one side to the other.

Build a bunker to survive zombies tycoon by Fractured Column

I feel like the name of this game should describe everything you need to know about it. Anyway the problem here is that the windows in the Classic Home of Robloxia are wooden and as a result of them not being rotated they have bad wood grain. Yes, this is a common issue with people who modify Happy Homes.

This is a game about basketball. The only wood grain I saw was on courts and that was fine, so this game checks out.

I’m going to be honest, from the fact I only spent like 30 seconds in this game I have no idea what it is about, nor do I recall anything about it other than what is in this image. But I do know that the curved feet on this mirror have bad wood grain, so that is all I really need to know.

Prisoner Life by Prisoner Life

The first, but not last, of the prison role play games on this list, Prisoner Life starts out by setting the bar really low with bad wood grain on these wooden chairs that have probably also failed a dozen other games from The Hatch.

Apologies if this game is spelt wrong but I had to fight autocorrect so much on this spelling. Anyway, here is another driving game where you roleplay as various jobs where the normal community gets completely overrun by people here for the event driving full speed everywhere. Anyway, the problem here is this wooden counter. While yes the counter is odd by the planks being so short, that itself would be acceptable if the end grain matched up. But it doesn’t, so it isn’t.

Steal Time Simulator by Silux Games

So I have no idea if I missed something but I remember specifically having no idea how this games works. Luckily for me I don’t need to have any idea how it works as this sign told me everything I needed to know for the event. Mainly that the sign has bad wood grain and I can fail this game.

I sure am glad this game had a sad emote for showing how sad I was when I found this bench that has bad wood grain.

The first true FNAF game in The Hatch, this one features bad wood grain on this table. The wood grain should go along with the sightlines from the camera.

Goal Kick Simulator by Dream Simulators

Goal Kick Simulator tried to be brave with itself. Unlike most simulators that are all smooth plastic, it added textures. This backfired as this sign for the map has bad wood grain. Also the wheels on the cannon are just weird but I don’t have time to break that down.

The Storage by Khongumu

The light game in the Time Biome, The Storage lives up to its name by having bad wood grain on storage, specifically this wooden crate thing that might be a table but I can’t tell. Either way, the vertical supports are bad and should be fixed.
