The Water Biome was painful for me to review as it involved swimming to the portal every time you rejoined it, and as anyone who has tried swimming in Roblox can tell you that sucks. Like the Earth Biome there were gaps between when I looked at these games, so my memory is sharper on some than others.
Horse Valley by Ming Horse Valley
Hey, I get to start off with a game I reviewed this past month. As a result my memory of the game was pretty good so I was able to instantly check some of the issues from my blog to see that no, they have not been fixed since I made it. Specifically the end grain on the crate is bad, because of course the crate is bad.
Paperface Who’s The Killer by Paperface
Another horror survival killer game, I did not have to join an actual game with Paperface to find bad wood grain Instead the lobby had bad wood grain on this chair and table, which to the devs credit was at least a custom built table and chair so it is solely their fault it sucks.
Verdict: Fail
Podcast Tycoon by ATLThug & Co
Another unusual tycoon/simulator game, I at least have to give Podcast Tycoon some credit because the gameplay loop was unique and it did manage to avoid having any bad wood grain. Did it do this by being all smooth plastic? Yes, but it is better than most other games.
Verdict: Pass
Fusion Football 2 by XSTNS GAMES
Another game from previous events, I had to cheat this a bit because when I initially joined I spawned on the field during a game and instantly received the egg. However I just had to see if the bad wood grain on the lockers was fixed and it wasn’t.
Verdict: Fail
Laundry Simulator by Dev House UK
You know, sometimes I feel bad for games that are entirely smooth plastic and the sign up for events and add a sign to tell players what to do but make the sign out of wood in a way that causes it to have bad wood grain. Other time I don’t feel bad, like when they upload a custom cylinder mesh that has bad wood grain. This is one of those time I don’t feel bad.
Verdict: Pass
Dog by Retro Horror
So for every other game in this event it has been a clear pass/fail on wood grain. But for Dog it isn’t. You see, it looks like in the thumbnail there is some vertical stuff on the wooden trim on top of the windows, but I didn’t see any wood grain on the windows in-game. So I’m not sure if this is a render issue or what. In either case, there is no mercy in this review so it is getting a fail until this thumbnail is removed. Or a pass if the devs send me a higher resolution version that shows it is actually correct.
Verdict: Fail
Race Clicker by 48h Games
So I have no idea what is going on with this screenshot but all you need to know is that the entire game is smooth plastic so I was unable to find any bad wood grain.

SUPER IMPOSSIBLE OBBY by Obby Republic
For an obby that claims to be SUPER IMPOSSIBLE it sure was easy to find bad wood grain, in this case it was on the ladder rails and support structure for this little lookout thing right after you spawned.
Verdict: Fail
Bike of Hell by Captain Grumpy Games
I forget if I found bad wood grain in Bike of Hell in previous events or if it was in the other bike-themed obbys. Either way, it passes the test this time.
Verdict: Pass
Obby But You’re On Roller Skates by MGames!
Oh look, another game about riding some personal transport vehicle that requires a helmet. A guess what, it is all smooth plastic again. While not original, at least it passes my test.
Verdict: Pass
Escape Mr. Yummy’s Supermarket Obby by Pebblesand1
Oh look, another obby where you have to escape some weird offense to God’s vision. This time it is Mr. Yummy. Anyway the game was mostly smooth plastic aside for these break buckets placed right next to the egg for the game. The grain on these buckets should follow the length of the boards that shape the bucket.
Verdict: Fail
Elemental Powers Tycoon by Giggle Ink
Another game from previous events, as soon as I loaded into the game I was reminded of what I failed this game in previous events: The door frame has bad wood grain.
Verdict: Fail
Sonic Showdown by Sonic Showdown
Well, this was a Sonic game, and continuing the trend of other Sonic games on Roblox this one also has bad wood grain. In this case the wood grain on this door and the door’s frame was bad.
Verdict: Fail
Anime Power Defense by APD x NV
Another anime game that puts way too much effort in particles and fancy animations while neglecting important things like wood grain, Anime Power Defense has bad wood grain on the vertical segments on the sides and front of this food cart. And you know how bad Goko gets if he can’t eat due to a food cart failing.
Verdict: Fail
GREAT SCHOOL BREAKOUT by Platinum Falls
Another school escape obby, this was was unique because it was in first person, which is at least unique for about the next 10 or so games in this review. What isn’t unique is the wood grain here, with these shelves having bad wood grain along with several other examples not shown here.

Forgotten World by Virtality World
We’ve been through this before: Game that has no bad wood grain anywhere adds a sign for the event. Sign has bad wood grain. Entire game gets dragged down for the event because of thing only added for the event. It has been a theme in every event that Roblox has done.

Meta Lock my Raydmundo
It is a sports game that has a locker room where the locker room has some type of feature that has bad wood grain. This isn’t really surprising anymore, if anything it seems like one big conspiracy between all the sports games on Roblox.

Savannah Life by NOYO Productions
So not related to the game at all, but as soon as I finished Meta Lock my Raydmundo I did Savannah Life and was constantly followed by someone named Raydmundo with numbers. While I’m sure it is coincidence I want to believe the creator of Meta Lock was mad at me. Anyway, Savannah Life had no wood grain so it passes.

World Roleplay by Inc Entertainment
So this game is basically a map of the world of Humanoids telling you where places are. It had no wood grain.

Ballroom Dance by Ballroom Dance
Ballroom Dance is a game about dancing, if you couldn’t get that from the name. Around the outside of the ballroom is a series of wood shelves that all have bad wood grain on their vertical supports.

Epic Egg Hunt 2025 by Chuckles82
An attempt at an actual egg hunt in a single game where you hunt games, Epic Egg Hunt 2025 falls into the trap that previous Roblox egg hunts fell into with the fact that it has bad wood grain, much like The Great Yolktales did. In this particular case it has bad wood grain on this wooden ramp that leads to the chicken coop.
Verdict: Fail
Nightmare Run by game testing boom
So I was nearly ready to give Nightmare Run a pass at first glance, but then I decided to take a second look at it and realized the side panel of the crate has bad wood grain. While the face towards the camera is correct, the top and bottom face has wood grain that goes to the front/back instead of following the wood grain on the side of the wooden plank.
Verdict: Fail
Obby But You Can’t Jump by Super Obbys :3
Another obby but without a theme that is too silly, Obby But You Can’t Jump is entirely smooth plastic and as a result passes my test.
Verdict: Pass
Impossible Squid Game! Glass Bridge
Another Squid Game game, I have even less of a clue how this relates to Squid Game than any of the other games. But it is all smooth plastic so that is something I guess.

ESCAPE EVIL GRANDMA! FIRST PERSON OBBY by Decent Obbies
While this obby might be decent, the wood grain on this shelf isn’t.
Yes, this is like the fourth obby made by Decent Obbies that has been in The Hatch and I just came up with that. It has been a long week.

Speedster Roleplay by Rad Individuals
No, I am not going to make a joke about the wood grain in this game not being rad. Anyway, the problem here is with the tree bark here. Please look back at the mega post for this game where I link to my post discussing how trees should work.

King Legacy by Sea King Legacy
So this is an odd one because not only was it one specific asset that has bad wood grain, but it is one part of one specific asset. In this case, some parts of the buckets have the correct horizontal wood grain while others have the incorrect horizontal wood grain.

Glass Bridge Pro Squid Game by Time Concept Games
No, you aren’t loosing it, this is a second glass bridge game themed around the Squid Games that is in the Water Biome. I have no idea why this is the case, but it is. Even odder is the fact that both have proper wood grain due to the fact that both are entirely smooth plastic. Anyway, it passes as well.
Mega Princess Tycoon by Banana Studios Something
Another mostly standard tycoon, Mega Princess Tycoon has some wood grain on the mailboxes in front of each tycoon and the wood grain on those is correct so it passes my test.
Verdict: Pass
Happy by Panik.
We are going on a little streak here as Happy is another game that also is all smooth plastic and as such has no bad wood grain.
Verdict: Pass
3-2-1 Blast Off Simulator by Archetypal Coder
Another game with a sign, another game with bad wood grain on the sign post. I’m fairly positive that this sign wasn’t added specifically for the egg hunt, although it is funny that it is right in front of the egg for the game.
Verdict: Fail
Zombie Uprising by USSF – United States Special Forces
Another zombie game, I have to admit that Zombie Uprising has some impressively bad wood grain. The main vertical supports are wrong, yet the diagonal supports are fine. But not on the inside faces, there they are correct. It is almost more work to make it this bad than to make it correctly.
Verdict: Fail
Water Physics by Stuart Games
As I mentioned before it is really hard sometimes to make voxels properly obey the rules of wood grain, but seeing as this was over the 400th game that I played for the event I do not care about that anymore. No mercy.

Horse World by Virtuality World
Another game dedicated to roleplaying as a horse, Horse World follows in the steps of all the other horse games in The Hatch by having even more bad wood grain. This time it is on this on the window frame in the barn, which should have vertical wood grain, not horizontal.

Unlimited World by Star Ocean Studios
Oh look another anime fighting game with fancy 3D models, particles, and rigging. I wonder if it will have proper wood grain or if the fancy carved union for the tables legs will be incorrect.

Tongue Battles by LDS Fighting
So this game is back again. Anyway, these barrels have bad wood grain on them. They should be vertical and follow the gaps in the barrels, not have the wood grain wrap around the barrels horizontally.

Well, this game is also back, and it is also still a thing. These floors have wooden planks with bad end grain.

Pass The Bomb by Detonate Games
Another game that has retro themed maps like this map inspired by SFOTH, Pass The Bomb made certain parts of the SFOTH map out of wood grain. This mainly includes these pillars and the railings, both of which have bad wood grain.

Evolution Ragdoll by Armframe Studios
While I still have three more blog posts after this, in terms of actually playing games Evolution Ragdoll was the last one I actually played and captured screenshots for. If you were hoping for this event to end on a high not prepare to be disappointed as this diving board has bad wood grain. Also I have no idea why it is so bright.
