Hello there backyard toy enthusiasts of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a look at Toy SoldierZ by CDK Development. I am aware that many of you are probably wondering why am I reviewing this game instead of the review of the new City Template place Roblox, made, and don’t worry, that is coming soon, I just keep falling down more and more rabbit holes while working on it. Don’t worry, I promise it is coming soon, but for this week enjoy my review of Toy SoldierZ. So, how is the wood grain here?

Not very good.

Starting with this little bookshelf building block, the supports on the edges are bad, ignoring the fact that it is impractical for a bookshelf to be square as the corners can’t hold many books. Assuming this isn’t a single mesh or union, it should be a fairly simple fix of just rotating the corner supports.

The next major issues is with the house in the main map. It is a but hard to see since I basically have to zoom out to the maximum distance to see anything, but for this window and window frame all the wood grain is horizontal, even on the vertical parts of the window frame and window segments. Additionally, instead of having horizontal wood grain, the top faces of these parts have wood grain that goes from the front to back of the part.

The same front-to-back issues are also on the siding for the house.

The last issue I saw was with the fences around the backyard. The wood grain on the fence pickets is all horizontal rather than vertical, and for the rails the wood grain on the top face goes from the front to back, instead of from the side to side like the front face.

And that is basically it. Yes, this is a bit of a short review, but the game does only have two minimally detailed maps, so there isn’t really much to review. However, what is there does have a bunch of bad wood grain, and as a result it really brings down what is otherwise an actually pretty decent game. Anyway, be sure to come back next week, where I will either have my review of the New City template place up, or will have a mental breakdown over it. Maybe both.
