Caulk And Paint Make A Carpenter You Ain’t-House Tycoon2

Hello there fellow house hunters of Roblox, WoodReviewer here with what should be a fairly short review with House Tycoon 2 by Haza games. Now if you are like me you probably don’t care about this review at all because you are more concerned with the ongoing The Hunt: Mega Edition. And that is exactly why I chose to review House Tycoon 2 this week, a quick an easy review for the week that will not take me too long so I can continue to focus on my stuff for the Mega Hunt review. Anyway let’s move on and get this over with.

The first piece of bad wood grain you see when you enter the game is this mailbox that spawns in before you even start building your house. The issue here is with the vertical post, the wood grain here should also be vertical, but is instead horizontal. Additionally, the arm of the mailbox has bad wood grain with the grain going from the front to the back of the world, relative to the camera, when it should follow the direction of the arm.

Moving onto the actual building of the house, it doesn’t take long to find some bad wood grain as when you build the foundation the wooden concrete formwork, which is just temporary to help form the concrete when it is poured. However, the top face of the formwork is bad. This top face should have wood grain that follow the direction of the grain on the front faces, not go against it.

The next issue isn’t too far away as it is with the joists that hold up the floor of the house. Again, the top face is wrong here, but the side faces are correct.

The next issue(s) I saw with the house were with the supports for this table. The vertical supports should have vertical wood grain, and the diagonal supports are also bad. Oh, and as one added bonus THE ENTIRE FRAME OF THE ENTIRE HOUSE IS ALSO BAD.

Moving on from the entire house being bad, the next issue was with these wooden pillars. They should have vertical wood grain, but instead have horizontal grain.

And then to top off the pillars the frame for the front porch gable. Specifically the sections radiating out like bike spokes from the center of the gable. The wood grain should follow the beams going away from the central point.

And like that the house is done. It may have been rough start but at least most of the issues are now buried behind drywall, so that is something.

Sorry if this review was a bit short, but I really need to get back to working on my review for The Hunt… Wait… What do you mean there is more? This post is already longer than what I normally consider to be a short reviews?

I mean, I do have better things to do today, but I guess since I already have the screenshots I might as well take a minute to bash this tycoon some more. The next issue is a relatively small one with the end grain on these wooden planks on the front porch being bad. Granted this is fairly small compared to “THE ENTIRE FRAME OF THE HOUSE IS BAD” but it is still bad,

Moving like 5 studs to the side, the next issue I found was with with the railing for the front porch. The issue here is the same as with many of the other issues: The wood grain on the top face is wrong, but the side face is correct.

Moving back inside the house for a bit, the next issue was with this random wooden trim decoration whose sole purpose seems to be to add some bad wood grain to this painted wall.

I’m not sure they the devs felt like they needed to specifically add bad wood grain since they already have enough inside, like the bad wood grain on this window frame.

Or on this shelving set, but I guess random pieces of useless decoration are in style now.

But since we are on the topic of bad shelving, boy, does this house have a lot of it. This shelving unit has bad grain on the vertical supports and the shelves.

Meanwhile this different and unique shelving unit has bad wood grain on the large doors and on the wooden handle that will try, and fail, to hold up this clothes rack.

And the the last item on our little shelf detour was this shelf which has bad wood grain on all of the vertical supports as well as on every single shelf.

Anyway enough with the shelves, time to move onto other issues, like this screwed up table. What I really want to know is why the wood grain for the tabletop goes in two different directions, one which is correct, the other which is incorrect. As an added bonus here, the chairs also have incorrect wood grain on every surface, which is bad.

Speaking of chairs, let’s head back outside again for a quick look at these rocking chairs. Somehow, the curved for the bottom rocker is correct, which is weird since that is usually the hardest part to get right. Unfortunately, the chair legs and back supports are all wrong with horizontal wood grain instead of vertical wood grain.

Moving back inside for one last issue, this random utensiel holder in the kitchen had bad wood grain. The grain should go across the fixture between the two supports, but instead it goes from the front to the back. This is wrong.

And with that this review is done. Of this house. There are actually three other houses you can build, but despite me speed running this review it is already on the long side and I am in the middle of a marathon working on my review of The Hunt, so I am going to just end it here. Overall the wood grain was bad. Now back to The Hunt grind…
