Theme Park HeideLand

Hello there theme park lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a look at Theme Park HeideLand by Passigames. It is one of the most popular of the current generation of theme park builds that exist on Roblox. Now this review is going to be different from most of my other reviews because as I was scoping out the game and taking a note of every example of bad wood grain I found I came to the startling conclusion that I was quickly approaching 60 images and realized I did not feel like creating another 5,000 word long word wall about a game without anyway to make it cohesive. So instead I am going to treat this like a Roblox event review and just make each ride a pass or fail on if it has proper wood grain or not. Will it be a bit odd? Maybe. Will it also save my fingers? Yes, and ultimately that is all I care about today.

Anyway, this is the map of Heideland, and I will do my best to review these rides in order because I can’t think of a better way to do it.

Scream

The first ride on the map isn’t a coaster but a roto drop named Scream. It is located right near the park entrance just as in every Roller Coaster Tycoon build because it is cheap and has decent stats. But what does scream sacrifice? That is right, it has bad wood gran on the entrance building. The vertical supports for both the roof and railing are incorrect, among other things that I don’t feel like describing.

Colossos

The next ride of the map, Colossos is a large fairly normal white wooden roller coaster, atleast by the modern standards of what a wooden roller coaster can be. Anyway, one thing that is important to understand HeideLand is that while it is a theme park, many of the rides can’t be ridden without teleporting to a different map. This is true for Colossos. However, Colossos does have a structure in the main map so for the purpose of not having to teleport to a different game and then having to teleport back I am using this structure to judge the wood grain, which is bad. Here the vertical supports have horizontal wood grain.

Also don’t worry, the main ride in a different place also has bad wood grain, but I just don’t feel like including it right now.

Pizza Party

Now I am sure some of you are wondering what type of ride Pizza Party can be. But it isn’t a single ride, but and area consisting of a zip line, tea cup ride, and a giant pizza statue. Now I am sure some of you have no idea what is going on at this point but that doesn’t matter. All that matters is that the zip line tower has bad wood grain on the supports.

Booster

Next up is Booster, which is a Booster ride. It only has some minor wood grain on the control panel and it is correct, so it is the first ride that passes my test. I mean if I wanted to make it so I made bad wood grain I could see from the ride fair game it would fail, but that seems a bit harsh even for me.

AirWolf

The next ride on the list is AirWolf, a ride which seems to be a Mondail Inferno without the rotating parts on the second arm. Or it could be some other ride from the European Fair Circuit that I am completely blanking on. Anyway, the wood grain here is correct because it has no wood grain. Am I being generous here? Maybe, but just remember all the bad wood grain here is also for a single game, so is it really generous for me to only call 75% of the game trash?

Jupiter

The next ride on the map is a Ferris wheel. It is a Ferris wheel. Not much more to say other than the fact that the wooden fence posts that surround the ride to prevent random people from walking up on the ride have bad wood grain. I know, such a shame after the game had such a good streak going.

TopSpin

The next ride, TopSpin, is based on the HUSS Top Spin. While the ride itself does have proper wood grain, the area around the map does have bad wood grain, such as this sign for the exit of the zipline right by the TopSpin. Does this count or am I being too mean? That is for you to decide.

Flying High

A Red Baron ride rethemed to be based on pre-WWII US Navy biplanes, Flying High seems to be in an underdeveloped part of the park that lacks any decoration. This works out for the ride as less wood grain means there is less stuff around that can possibly contain bad wood grain.

Park Train

The next ride on my list is the Park Train. As the train goes around the entire park it is completely unfair as there is a ton of wood grain that I can see from the train. In this case I went with this sign for Serpent Chase because I was AFK until someone came and started driving the train.

Also I’m sure some of you are curious as to how a train and drive without a track. Don’t worry, so am I.

Monorail

Much like the train, the Monorail goes around the entire map so I could select and piece of bad wood grain. But unluckily for the devs, the supports monorail station have bad wood grain. Why is the station made out of wood when the rest of the monorail is all made out of non-wood? No idea, but I’m just glad I didn’t have to resort to using another screenshot of a sign.

Ride to Hell

A fairly rate ghost train ride, Ride To Hell is another one of those games where if you want to ride it you have to teleport to a different world in order to ride it. Luckily for me I didn’t have to teleport to the new world as the green trim on the side of the mansion has bad wood grain. Also the tracks and some decorations in the other map doe have bad wood grain but again I don’t want to include those here because it is more work.

Red Rocket

A ride that is heavily inspired by RMC hybrid coasters, Red Rocket is a ride that also requires a teleport to ride it. However Red Rocket also doesn’t require me to actually ride it in order for me to find bad wood grain. In this case I was able to climb the decorative lift hill in the main game to find some bad wood grain on the vertical supports and the boards that un along the track on the lift hill.

Robots

Returning to flat rides for a bit, Robots are a version of the RoboCoaster rides in real life. While the robots themselves are correct, the staircase to get to the control room that allows players to control the arms has incorrect wood grain. The planks for the stairs should go across the stair stringers, but instead go from the front to the back.

Kraken

The first ride the actually required me to teleport to a different game in order to play it, Kraken is a fairly basic log flume ride. However just because I wasn’t bale to find any bad wood grain in the main game that doesn’t mean it was safe from having bad wood grain. Here the problem was with the bottom edge of the exist sign which has bad wooden plank orientation. The grain on the bottom should go the same way as the wood grain on the front of the sign.

Water Show

Not as much of ride as a show, I have no clue as to what the water show actually is I didn’t want to wait around for 20 minutes for a show to start. But that doesn’t matter as the decking in the obvervation area for the water show has bad wood grain. Here the grain should follow the length of the boards, not go perpendicular to it.

Catapult

Based on the Nautic Jet rides that are popular at smaller parks, the main issue here is with the bottom of the boat. There are clearly planks going from the back to the front of the boat, but the grain here goes from one side to the other. Also with the boat being made out of wedges and regular planks there is a mess of different parts of the boat having grain going in different directions but I don’t feel like breaking it down anymore on how that is wrong.

Curse of Karnan

Based on the Gerstlauer Euro-Fighter, Curse of Karnan is another coaster where the majority of the ride is located outside of the main game in a different place. However much like most of the other rides you can still find bad wood grain on the part of the ride located in the main game. In this case the entrance line has bad wood grain on the vertical posts for this little covered area.

Serpent Chase

Yet another of the rides that you need to teleport out of the main game to ride, Serpent Chase has bad wood grain on the sign that points to its entrance.

“WoodReviewer, isn’t this the same sign that is from the park train?”

Yes, yes it is. But this is in a different location so I am counting it again. Is it fair? Maybe. Do I care? No. Please just fix the wood grain on your signs.

Desert Race

The next two rides are part of a single area called Race World. The first and most noticeable one is what appears to be a Reverse Freefall Coaster named Desert Race. While the actual coaster is correct, there is a viewing area for the ride that has chairs that have improper wood grain. While this isn’t technically part of the ride with the general layout of the park they are both in the same area, so it will count against the coaster.

SkySpin

A version of the S&S 4D coasters, SkySpin is tucked away in the back of the park, probably because the coaster keeps derailing. Anyway, despite this it still has a fairly detailed waiting area with a dedicated building. While this might be a good thing, the large amount of bad wood grain on the wall around the garden could probably have been skipped.

Whirlwind

Based on the Sky Fly ride, Whirlwind is also backed away in a different back corner of the park that lacks a bunch of scenery. As a result all it really has is some of the old ball terrain and some trees surrounding it, so there isn’t any real chance for there to be any bad wood grain.

Galactic Rush

The last ride on the list in Heideland, Galatic Rush is a hybrid between the modern Vekoma suspending swinging coaster with the old Arrow swinging coaster trains. It requires a teleportation to a different place to actually ride like many of the other coasters. Like many of the other coasters it also contains bad wood grain in the main world, this time on this small table inside an ice cream stand right in front of the entrance. It is technically part of the ride? No, but it is themed like the ride so that is close enough for me.

So that was Theme Park HeideLand. Was it good? Well no, any time I need to have a two thousand word blog post that is the cut down version of all the bad wood grain I found that is not a good sign. Still, there is some hope. Of the 23 rides 4 of them didn’t have any bad wood grain. If you want to take away rides where I’m not just being extra picky that is probably closer to 7 rides, which is almost a third of the rides. Again, not good, but it is something.
