Hello there meditating developers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here, today to take a look at the Toyokawa Inari Shrine, made by nezko. Personally, I am looking forward to taking a look at this game as I’ve been told by my doctors that my diet of nothing but pure rage towards developers is not good for me heart health, and by letting go of some of my rage it will help me live longer. That, and the fact that just because corndogs have corn in their name does not mean they are a vegetable. And seeing as the fact I have a full freezer of corndogs that aren’t going away, it seems like meditating in this game is the best way to help lower my blood pressure. And seeing as this game is nominated for a Bloxy for best showcase, I can’t imagine that this game has by bad wood grain.
I mean, just look at this nice calm setting around the fire. With a nice kettle of tea.
I mean look at how nice and relaxing with no bad wood grain around.
Yup, nothing here to make me angry here.
Well, I wasn’t angry. But now I am angry. Just look at the vertical sections on these window braces. The wood grain should be vertical here, not horizontal.
And then there is also the bottom of the arches on these horizontal parts of these gateways. The wood grain goes from the back to front here, when it should follow the grain on the front of the support and go across the gateway.
On top of those horizontal supports are these vertical supports on the actual shrine. The grain here should be vertical, not horizontal. But hey, this is a fairly easy of a mistake to make.
Just like how the same mistake was also made on the doorway to the shrine. I mean, I guess I can’t blame the creator since Roblox also considers this to be one of the best showcases on the site.
And these shelves. They also don’t understand how wood grain works, with improper wood grain on the back vertical supports again, because if half the game has improper wood grain, why not the other half? I mean, this is just a small detail you can’t miss. Not like it is the entire outside of the shrine itself that the game is based on that has improper wood grain.
Oh wait, the shrine does have improper wood grain on the outside. Wow, such quality in the game. This is clearly one of the best showcase son Roblox. I’d be so glad if Roblox uses this to demonstrate what good wood grain looks on Roblox and as the gold standard of what a showcase should be. But hey, if there is already this much bad wood grain, why no show off more.
Again, this time with vertical wood grain because that is too hard. I mean, trees, how do they work. how can you blame people for not knowing how trees work. Or what wood looks like. I mean, do you know how long it takes to Google wood on Google? Like 10 seconds. WHo HAS THAT TIME? I mean who had that time. I mean is using Google really that HARD? I mean, atleast it is all vertical wood grain that is bad, not the horizontal grain.
OH WAIT, IT IS BOTH. LIKE ON THIS LANTERN. THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL WOOD GRAIN IS WRONG HERE. THEY HAVE A 50/50 CHANGE OF GETTING WOOD GRAIN RIGHT AND THEY GOT BOTH OF THEM WRONG. JUST HOW. IT ISN’T HARD. I’M AND IDIOT AND I CAN GET IT. BUT STILL, THESE ARE ALL SMALL DETAILS. THE SHRINE IN THE CENTER OF THE MAP THAT THIS ENTIRE GAME IS BASED ON SHOULD BE CORRECT.
WELL IF YOU THOUGHT SO THEN YOU WOULD BE WRONG, BECAUSE THE SHRINE ALSO HAS BAD WOOD GRAIN. BUT NOT JUST BAD VERTICAL WOOD GRAIN, BUT BAD HORIZONTAL WOOD GRAIN. WHY. HOW. DO PEOPLE HONESTLY SPEND HOURS UPON HOURS MAKING SURE LIGHT RAYS LOOK GREAT AND MASSAGING EVERY POLYGON ON TEA KETTLES THAT ARE SO SMALL YOU CAN’T EVEN SEE THE DETAILS ON A MOBILE DEVICE WHILE CLEARLY IGNORING GIANT FLAWS ON THE WOOD GRAIN?
AND THIS IS NOMINATED FOR A BLOXY. THIS ISN’T ME GOING “HAHAHA LOOK AT THIS DUMB NEWBIE.” THIS CAN BE VOTED ON AS THE GREATEST SHOWCASE ON ROBLOX AND THE WOOD GRAIN ABSOLUTELY SUCKS. IT IS TERRIBLE. AND AS THE ONE PERSON WHO IGNORES ALL THE FANCY FEATURES OF THE SHOWCASE AND GIVES OBJECTIVE FEEDBACK, I HOPE THIS IS FIXED. BECAUSE IT IS EASY TO FIX, AND SHOULD BE FIXED. AND UNTIL IT GETS FIXED I HOPE NEZKO FEELS BAD FOR HOW BAD ALL OF THE WOOD GRAIN LOOKS.
