Water Biome-The Hatch Part 7

The Water Biome was painful for me to review as it involved swimming to the portal every time you rejoined it, and as anyone who has tried swimming in Roblox can tell you that sucks. Like the Earth Biome there were gaps between when I looked at these games, so my memory is sharper on some than others.

Horse Valley by Ming Horse Valley

Hey, I get to start off with a game I reviewed this past month. As a result my memory of the game was pretty good so I was able to instantly check some of the issues from my blog to see that no, they have not been fixed since I made it. Specifically the end grain on the crate is bad, because of course the crate is bad.

Fire Biome-The Hatch Part 8

The Fire Biome is the biome that probably took me more time than any other biome to complete due to starting and stopping it, but that is true for most of the of these biomes.

Conquer The World by Marian_Dev

The first game I completed in the Fire Biome, Conquer the World starts this biome off on a bad foot with having bad wood grain on the pistol grips of the guns that soldiers in-game can carry. It is a bit hard to see since the NPCs are covering most of it up with their hands, but trust me, it is bad.

Verdict: Fail

Air Biome-The Hatch Part 9

The penultimate biome in my review, the Air Biome was one of the more difficult ones due to the fact you had to do a small obstacle course to get to it. However I was able to complete all of the the games in here at once so they should be consistent.

Bad Cat by CattyApps

The first game in the Air Biome is Bad Cat, a game where you roleplay as a cat whose objective is to destroy the house you live in. If this is the first review you’ve read on The Hatch you might not be familiar with it but a ton of games in this event have bad wood grain on the vertical posts for signs, like this.

Verdict: Fail

Ice Biome-The Hatch Part 10

Well, this is the final biome with the final 41 games in this event. Did it take me literally two who days to write and edit these posts? Yes. Will anyone real all of them? Probably not. But now there is definitive evidence that all these games were judged, with many of them knowing what sins they committed.

Mega Mansion Tycoon by Wild Atelier

Another mansion tycoon, this one functions mostly the same as all of the other house building tycoon. The one main exception is that unlike the other ones where you need to progress a bit to find the bad wood grain this one has the bad wood grain right on the front mailbox.

Verdict: Fail

The Hub-The Hatch Part 11

So, with 410 places done that you would think that it is time for me to rest. But there is one more game that I need to review before I can call this event done. Don’t worry, I haven’t forgotten about you Twin Atlas, this is your time to shine.

Now I can’t be too mad at the developers of The Hub. Out of the entire event the Hub was the best part of it by far, especially since only a dozen or so games had actual quests for their eggs. But by now you should realized that I am not satiated by fancy effects or cutscenes and that the only thing that will satisfy me is proper wood grain. So, how is the wood grain here?

Santa’s House-Egg Hunt 2018 Part 16

Hello there Hatch haters of Roblox, WoodReviewer here with Part 16 of my review of the 2018 Egg Hunt by Fifteam. Now you might be thinking that the fact this is part 16 of my review means the event was terrible with how much bad wood grain it has, and while yes that is true, the length of my reviews have also been inflated since 2018. I used to keep my reviews to around a thousand words and 20 images max, while if you read my reviews of the previous Hunt events you would know that is short for me now. And sure, I could just end the entire review of the 2018 Egg Hunt now with one longer blog post but for reason that will become clear soon I won’t. So with the fact the wood grain was bad already established about 11 reviews ago, what exactly is wrong with the next sub world, Blizzard Valley?

Bits and Pieces-Wood Scraps 2

Hello there small game makers of Roblox who are hoping that if their game is small enough they will manage to escape my wrath, WoodReviewer here with the second edition of Wood Scraps. All of you who were here for my previous edition will remember what this is, but for those of you who missed out on Part 1, Wood Scraps is my way to review game that either don’t have enough content to be a proper review, or games that I just don’t have enough time to put into to finish a proper review. Realistically this means that some of these games are games that I just don’t want to play anymore, but this also gives me probably deniability that none of these games fall into the category.

Even More Horses-Horse Valley

Hello there horse lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a second look at Horse Valley by Ming Horse Valley, aka SirMing. Now if you are curious why you never saw my first review of Horse Valley that is because it dates back to August of 2016, almost nine years ago. For those hardcore horse game fans out there that have gone back and looked up the review, I’m sorry for saying that you’ve probably never seen it, but for everyone else please stop lying, the review has had less than 50 views in the last five years, I know you haven’t read it.

So, what exactly has changed in the last nine years? Well, for starters most of the game has followed the trends on Roblox to just switch to smooth plastic for everything, so that is something. Take this well from my first review. It has about half a dozen separate issues with it.

Now take a look at the modern version of this well. It is all smooth plastic, so problem solved I guess.

Completely Random-Randomizer

Hello there chaos lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here with a fairly late review this week. If you are wondering why these reviews have been late these last few weeks it is because now that it is summer I actually have stuff to do outside while the Sun is up. Anyway today’s review is of Randomizer TheBuilderMC’s Group. Now I am sure most of you have never heard of this game, any many of you that have heard of it are confused as to why I am reviewing this game. The honest answer is simply that I didn’t have a good game to review this week and was browsing games earlier today trying to find a game to review. So, what made me want to review Randomizer? Was it the name? Word of mouth? A unique game style? Or was it because the devs added a wooden crate to the thumbnail that has bad wood grain?

Theme Park HeideLand

Hello there theme park lovers of Roblox, WoodReviewer here to take a look at Theme Park HeideLand by Passigames. It is one of the most popular of the current generation of theme park builds that exist on Roblox. Now this review is going to be different from most of my other reviews because as I was scoping out the game and taking a note of every example of bad wood grain I found I came to the startling conclusion that I was quickly approaching 60 images and realized I did not feel like creating another 5,000 word long word wall about a game without anyway to make it cohesive. So instead I am going to treat this like a Roblox event review and just make each ride a pass or fail on if it has proper wood grain or not. Will it be a bit odd? Maybe. Will it also save my fingers? Yes, and ultimately that is all I care about today.

Anyway, this is the map of Heideland, and I will do my best to review these rides in order because I can’t think of a better way to do it.
