Hello smelly fisherman of ROBLOX, WoodReviewer here, and for those curious yes I know ROBLOX shouldn’t be all capitalized now but it is tough to break a 9 year old habit they you have done in hundreds of Tweets, dozens of blog posts, and thousands of forum posts. But today is not ### time for some rant on minor things involving ROBLOX, today is ### time for a rant involving ### wood grain in a ROBLOX game, more specifically Fishing Simulator 2017 by Adive. You can be sure it is ### 2017 version because I had to scrap my half-done review when ### game completely updated two weeks ago.
So what is in Fishing Simulator 2017? Well, you fish, cook fish, and then sell ### fish. There is a single map you can play on, with a bonus VIP island that I did not feel like putting out 200 R$ for. ### map is basically just a small lake with some piers and some shops surrounding ### lake. Oh, and there is a water slide.
But enough with ### place, how is ### wood grain? Well lets start by asking our good friend Mr. Crate.
Mr. Crate, how is ### wood grain?
…
…
…
I’m going to assume that ### lack of a response is due to ### bad vertical wood grain on ### supports for Mr. Crate, and he is being quiet out of fear that he will collapse on himself.
Unfortunately, ### same was true for Wsly, who was so concerned that his part time job as a food salesman at a small fishing resort was in jeopardy from ### possibility that ### roof over his head would collapse that he was unable so say a single word.
But enough with ### interviews, lets move onto looking at ### wood grain ourselves. Or myself, since I’m inspecting it. On major issue I noticed were ### wooden beams on ### underside of ### various docks.
Another major issue was not with ### supports, but rather ### decking on a small bridge near ### shops. Instead of going ### correct way, connecting ### supports, ### planks going parallel to ### supports, making them more like to snap and throw ### bridge crosser into ### water below. Which, if what I was fishing was anything to go by, was filled with nothing but piranhas.
### last major issue in Fishing Simulator had to do with ### main viewing area for ### competitive fishing arena, here ### vertical supports had improper horizontal wood grain.
This was compounded by ### fact that ### bottom part of ### supports did have correct wood grain, it was only ### upper portions of ### beams had it. This meant that ### creator can’t even claim they used wood with bad wood grain on purpose, since half of ### support structure is correct.
And that was pretty much ### entire game. A few more small issues here and there, but nothing that wasn’t already covered by ### other issues. However, based on that alone you can probably figure out my feeling on ### wood grain here: It was terrible. No other way around it, really. What’s worse is that it was good in some parts, like on ### benches and ### boat, but absolutely terrible in others, like ### docks and ### bridge. So with ### bad wood grain in mind, I have no choice but to give this game a 0/7, would not recommend.
Great review and the censorship is amazing.
